Final cost of construction should exclude lot/land cost, but include all change orders, builder fees and any items included in the construction/remodel of home that client paid for outside of contract.

This information will not be made public and is for the sole purpose of creating fairness and uniformity among entries.

Entry Resident/Owner Approval Verification

This verifies that the Builder/Remodeler has obtained all necessary approvals from the Resident/Owner to allow LightHouse Awards judges and representatives access into the residence located at the Entry Address for the purpose of judging the home as an entry in the LightHouse Awards, on Friday and Saturday September 15th and 16th.

Furthermore, this verifies that the Builder/Remodeler has obtained approval and all necessary releases for the use of photography of the residence, to be used by the Hilton Head Area Home Builders Association to promote the LightHouse Awards as determined necessary and proper by the LightHouse Awards Committee. Uses include, but are not limited to, press releases, advertising, print media, television broadcasting.

Note: The Hilton Head Area Home Builders Association will not publish or release entry addresses, construction costs or names of residents/owners in its promotion of the LightHouse Awards.

By agreeing below, the Builder/Remodeler authorizes that the Resident/Owner agrees to the terms outlined above and agrees to be held responsible for communicating all relevant LightHouse Awards judging and promotion information to the Resident/Owner.

Professional Photographs & Company Marketing Materials

Each entry is required to have one photo of the front exterior at the time of submission, for judging. This photo need not be professional if time does not allow. Remodel entries should have before and after photographs depicting changes, preferably taken from the same angle. Photos can be emailed, with the company name and the property address, to info@hhahba.com.

There will be six professional digital image files due by Friday, October 6th for use at the LightHouse Awards Gala. Please include ONLY six images.

We ask that you save your photos to a compressed file, with the company name and the property address included, and email them to info@hhahba.com.

HBA will provide entrant a list of photographers upon request.

Please include any related marketing materials for company and/or entry. Past ads and brochures marketing LightHouse Awards achievement are strongly encouraged.

Upon receipt of your submission, you will be emailed a spreadsheet, for each entry, requesting subcontractor & supplier list. Each completed spreadsheet must have an accompanying final building permit from the respective municipality and should be emailed to info@hhahba.com. Final deadline for submission will be due Friday, October 6th.

HBA Good Standing and Application Costs

Your company will be invoiced based on your final application submissions in all applicable entry categories. Each new home entry application is $600.
